Nelson Hotels are delighted to be supporting The Great Pancake Party and turning Pancake Day into a delicious week-long event to help raise funds for the Cardiomyopathy Association.

If you follow any of the Nelson Hotels properties on Facebook you will know that they have been busy getting your votes on your favourite pancake fillings…and the results are in!

Between 3-7 March the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel, The Pheasant Inn, The Bear’s Paw and The Fishpool Inn will all be serving a mouth watering selection of your top voted pancake fillings:

• Wild mushroom, spinach and goat’s cheese filled pancakes, aubergine caviar and truffle cream
• Home-made pancakes served with caramelised bananas, toffee sauce and honeycomb
• Crêpe Suzette, caramelized oranges and Cointreau ice cream
• Home-made pancakes simply drenched with lemon and icing sugar

What’s more, 10% of all pancake sales will be donated to The Great Pancake Party to help in their quest to raise funds for the worthwhile but lesser known charity, the Cardiomyopathy Association.

The Pancake Party is the inaugural national fundraising event and is headed by Cardiomyopathy sufferer Lynn Hedgecoe. Following her diagnosis, Lynn discovered very little was understood of this debilitating heart muscle disease. The support and encouragement she received made her realise that raising awareness and much needed funds was vital to protecting the wellbeing of fellow sufferers.

Lynn comments, “We are hoping to raise £25,000 which will help sufferers gain access to vital, life-changing support as well as pay for training videos for doctors and nurses to educate them on the condition. This will mean quicker diagnosis and better care for everyone affected.” She added “I’m so pleased companies like Nelson Hotels are getting involved.”

So join us at any of the Nelson Hotels properties between 3-7 March for some delicious homemade pancakes and help raise money for this fantastic cause.
